when you screwing up, and nobody saying anything to you anymore, that means they gave up; when you see yourself doing something badly and nobody bother to tell you anymore, that's a very bad place to be; their critics is one way telling you their love and care;
the brick walls are there for a reason;
the brick walls are not there to keep us out;
the brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something;
because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don't want it badly enough;
the brick walls are there to stop 'other' people;
"Dutch Uncle": One who reproves in a blunt, stern manner intended for the benefit of the recipient
a term for a person who issues frank, harsh, and severe comments and criticism to educate, encourage, or admonish someone.
it's such a shame that people perceive u as so 'arrogant',
because it's going to limit what you are going to be able to accomplish in life;
a good way to word, you're being a jerk, he does not say you're a jerk,
he just says people perceive you this way,
and the downside is that it is going to limit what you are going to be able to accomplish in life.
I don't know how to not have fun;
I'm dying and I'm having fun;
and I'm going to keep having fun, everyday I have left;
cos there's no other way to play it;
it took me a long time but I finally figure it out,
when it comes to men that are romantically interested to you;
it's very simple, just ignore everything they say and only pay attention to what they do.
"I WILL FIX THIS"
Points:
1. Get a feedback loop and LISTEN to it.
2. Show gratitude.
3. Don't complain, just work harder.
4. Be good at something; it makes you valuable
5. Work hard!
6. Find the best in everybody
7. Be prepared: "luck" is where preparation meets opportunity.
"Head Fake" -> indirect learning
- best way to teach somebody something is to make they think they are learning something else.
- it's not about how to achieve your dreams, it's about how to lead your life, if you live your life good enough, the dreams will come to you.
- the talk is not for you, it's for my kids.
